Yeah, that's a pretty short seattube for the top tube. When you put those specs up I thought for sure it would be sloping top tube frame. That frame is hot, though!

That's a usable top tube for me but with that low head tube I'd have to be running Technomic stem for sure.

thanks! yeah, the top tube is a-ok but i definitely didnt need -that- much drop... ill probably put a new picture up at some point

Ahh I see. You should perhaps try some of the fit guidelines on this page: http://bikedynamics.co.uk/guidelines.htm

I'm only saying this because you've got one hefty setback, which you don't need unless you've got long femurs (like I do). If your "proper fit" put your saddle more forward, you wouldn't feel so stretched out/aggressive. I feel you though, I settled on risers because I didn't like being aggro for long periods.

its really just the super drop that was getting to me a little, haha. hey, i learn more about this stuff every day. i love it though.

Yesterday the universe must have overheard me ordering new tires from Scrod and decided to send a final FU by giving me my second rear flat in 3 days. Another puncture. Chicago roads are complete **** right now after the winter - I don't know if I've ever seen them so torn up. Potholes that will **** your car up, let alone your bike, and the debris from the crumbling roads everywhere. Looks like they are just starting the street sweeping schedule so hopefully some of that will get cleaned up.

Hilariously I also ordered tires for my dude's bike from Scrod and he ALSO got a puncture flat yesterday. WTF.

Today I had my second English exam of the semester. So now I'm all done with those for a few months. One tomorrow, One Thursday, and I'm done for the year. Really ready to go home and do nothing but make money and play bieks every single day for 3 months. And its perfect because I'm not moving until Saturday, and my friend's 21st birthday is Friday. One final hurrah for the year.

Also, coffee/study date with cute redhead this evening. I am excite.

Mumonkan 04-30-13 11:34 AM

today i ate **** on a turn with loose gravel since i topped off my tires today
then i rode through a cloud of gnats so thick it felt like i was riding through tall grass, so disgusting

blasted over all the hills on the roads though

Threw myself out of bed with the first panic attack ive had in almost a year. Running on fumes right now due to the lack of sleep.

BUUUT my mountain bike is tuned up and there's a new trail open on the west side of town. BIKE LIFE

Turns out that test I didn't feel so hot about last week dropped my total grade 23% points! That makes a 89.7 magically turn into a 66.7, how neat is that?! And its the week before finals!

I am going to go ride bikes for the rest of the day

Bummed you didn't videotape the encounter for our entertainment though. Get your ****ing priorities straight man!

I'm glad Nagrom didn't videotape it. That would have been the stupidest thing he could have done in that situation. **** has a way to come back and haunt you.

Also glad you got your bike back undamaged, btw. How long before the adrenaline wore off?

I got to the track in time even though I was running about a half hour late and about a mile from where I usually leave from. Adrenaline mang. I was booking it.

Well that just sucks.

Do you get an incomplete for blowing off the final?

So yesterday Vancouver was experiencing some heavy winds. This happens maybe 3-4 times a year. Last night I went for a ride around Stanley Park and specifically chose the sea-wall route. Epic 20+ foot tall sea spray from angry waves crashing into the bullwarks as I was riding. Everything was churned up with the tide coming back in and the usual outward flow of the river already so adding the wind to that was pretty fun to watch. I had to approach a few spots carefully, timing my approach to be shortly after a big wave hit so that I didn't get completely soaked. However, exiting the park with a massive tail wind was a lot of fun too.

How does that dude run so fast with balls that big?

kite991 04-30-13 04:25 PM

Today I got pushed off the road because a bunch of asians (ugh I'm asian but at least i know to get out of a bikers way) they were walking all fanned out in like a horizontal line and literally there was no way to pass when i came up to them, so rather than brute force my way through i decided to be nice and go to the side of the road. Next time mark my words i'll run right through them.

Why were there people walking in the street?

cc700 04-30-13 04:53 PM

On the way back from the campus theres the road and no way to get back on the sidewalk to go under the railroad tracks which are basically the border between the campus and the outside so I pass through that tunnel every day back and forth.

Nope. Apparently I really outdid myself and got a 16 out of 60 on our last test before the final presentation (I demand to see my test copy, thats pretty impressive. It'll go on my fridge). Did I mention it is an absolute BS class?

Anyways, got 10 miles to the 'sk8' park for a quick mini-ramp and cruise session. I have not been to a skatepark in about 6 years, but the same crowd still is into that stuff now; 12 yr olds smoking marlboros and shotgunning whatever they can steal from the convenience stores. Kids man...

Machined sidewall opens the opportunity to run 990's if I ever wish to.

Just hunker down enough to pass and call it good. No one cares about gpa anyway.

Honestly, my college education did next to nothing for me job wise. Granted I didn't make big money my first years out of school, but no one stays at a job for long these days, just trade up a few salaries once you get some experience under your belt.
