yeah, i don't think a daily seattle----->everett drive will ever be fun

FWIW, at least with a subbie you can get awd which helps if you plan to drive over the passes/in snow/etc

Today I slept in and put some time in on the dmr. Also, found the 1" threadless fork that was on the bianchi and the steerer is long enough to work with the 930.

Found out today that Mustard Plug is coming to play a show at a bar really near to me. Like, 4 miles away near. Its been a really good year for shows for me so far, and I'm really glad that these opportunities have popped up.

Today I had the most stressful day at my daycare job so far. Three and a half hours of kids screaming, jumping on my back, fighting, and coughing all over each other. Plus the train line that I normally take to and from work was under construction so I had to take a different train that has an outdoor station. Waited for almost half an hour in 18 degree weather.

MS3 is a fun car (I have one), if you get a first gen I suggest spending money to get this:

https://damnfastdd.com/Products/Show/...+Turbo+PCV+Fix

Or even better, this:

https://damnfastdd.com/Products/Show/...ve+CCEV+System

2nd gen ms3 doesn't have the PCV issue

they bought a new car over the summer and gave me their old one. drove it til now (mostly just during the summer and then maybe 5 miles a week during the semester when i had to carry my bass around with me) and sold it this morning. my parents also gave me a large graduation/good-job-on-finding-a-job-and-being-a-respectable-asian gift to be used towards a car. with all that and the money i have saved up from working i have enough for either car.

i'm spoilt, pretty much.

they gave a car to my sister when she graduated too, but she got a noobier car cuz she only used it to go to Costco, and now she lives in NYC where she uses it like once a month.

I'm still driving around in the same pontiac I've owned since 2000 and I'll be driving it until the wheels fall off.

Huh? What'd you do to qualify for that (I'm asian by the way)?

Yeah same here. Driving a 98 civic which is still running pretty well. Getting another car just ain't a priority. I'm not hating on people who are into cars because I guess I can see the appeal, but as long as it's functional and gets decent mileage...point A to point B is enough for me.

lol, bad joke is bad. maybe it only makes sense in my head. :O

i'm not super into cars... but rather than spend a lot of money on a car i kind of want, i'd rather spend a little extra on a car i really want, especially if i'm going to be driving it daily for 5-10+ years. my old car was halfway through its useful life and had some problems we didn't want to deal with so i just sold it. it wasn't a lemon but it really wasn't one of the better Toyotas we've ever bought.

I hear you, I'm similar. Once I get interested in something, I'll do a ton of research and go for quality stuff.

I hope, really, really hope, I never get interested in something as expensive as cars or like home theater and stuff like that.

This is what's weird, my father is really into street rods. I never had much interest in them, bikes are my thing.

Don't buy cheap Ebay longboards, got one and the bolt holes were all jacked so I had to get a refund after dealing with ebay. Anyway, since it can't be used I figured I would draw on it and see what happens, this is what happened:

used a sharpie and a gold paint marker

Today I sold my fuji track bike, I no longer belong here :-(

But I will stay because ssfg is of the better part of bikeforums, and I'm sure I won't be able to not build another fg
