Seat post keeps moving

I'm trying to install my seat post into my leader 725, But it keeps slipping down or moving side to side. I've tightened it as much as I could possibly do, but that doesn't seem to help.

I'm using a SPC3 27.2 Carbon Seat Post and a 2011 leader.

Sounds like either the seatpost or seatube are out of spec. Do you have another 27.2mm seatpost you can try? Hopefully it's the seatpost that's too small, and it only has to be 0.1mm off to be a loose fit. That's what I don't like about those built-in binders.

Carbon fiber is tricky.

I would try to turn the post violently for like 30 mins to wear down what is holding it on to create a smoother surface and to grease it.

GREASE???
yes, grease is a substance that fills between materials, it could fill that gap.

Aso, TIGHTEN THE BOLT or get another clamp in addition to the first one.

Did you use grease/ clean out the grease that was in your seat tube prior to installation?

CARBON & GREASE DO NOT MIX!!!!!!!!!!!! Grease would cause you to overtighten the seatpost and crack it!!!!!!

No grease used. Its brand new... Installing it even scratched it a little. Hopefully its just the clear coat and can come off with sanding -_-

Beware this man, as not one part of what he is telling you to do makes any amount of sense in your situation. Please do not grease a carbon fiber anything.

What you need to do on a brand new Leader frame is grease the threads on the seatpost binder bolt and gently tighten it with no post in the frame. Be very careful not to overtighten or baby Jesus will cry and Santa Claus will cross you off his list. Loosen it back up, apply carbon installation paste to your seatpost and reinstall. Problem solved.

This also works very well on aluminum frame/aluminum seatpost applications and prevents overtightening of integrated binder bolts.
