Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

He really is a nice guy.

Every sport has guys like this. Some participants get the gear and actually grow the skills that would warrant such equipment. Some get the gear and don't grow very much. But here's the thing, whenever someone has nicer stuff than you, don't assume that they think they are better than you and further, your beating them proves that they are wrong. Don't do that. You just created an enemy and a conflict out of nowhere...all to make yourself feel good when you shouldn't have felt bad in the first place.
i sort of took him as a ******bag from his velospace posts, though ill take your word that he's a nice guy. just caught up in his bike too much, i guess. i saw your tk1 btw, nice.

My buddy just bought some thousand dollar fuji roadie and we went out riding. Left him in the dust while I was on an old steel conversion. Admittedly I've been living almost car free for a year now and he's just getting into biking but still.

Feels good man...
