I remember riding down a street here with the ex gf in her Subaru. I was taking photos through town as a passenger. She busted me spotting a gal on a singlespeed, a nice red one. But of course she thought I was checking out the gal. I was totally checking out her bike... But I would hear nothing of that, instead being accused of being the lech. I suppose, because the gal was a cutie, and passed us in traffic 3 or 4 times. The temptation was there. :>

When we finally got the pics in the computer, it was obvious I'd been checking out the bike, and not the girl. Anyway, the relationship went south shortly afterwards, and I'm still checking chainlines. Glad I'm not the only one. I don't think the ex will ever understand the depth of my fixation.

My wife had to pull me away from a surly steamroller tonight. I tried to get her interested, but she would have none of it. <sigh>

I'm always checking out bikes if I see someone riding around here, but when faced with a girl on a bike it's a tough call.

The site of anyone on a bike, outside of the weekend roadie group-rides, is pretty uncommon, a girl on a bike even more so. Since I'm single I'd probably check out the girl first, then the bike. ;) If she was on a fixed-gear I'd be stunned.

I'll occasionally see people cruising around during the warmer months, but Californians are wussies when it comes to cold, so cyclists are even *more* rare during the winter.

i'm completely obsessed with checking out bikes...my boyfriend totally makes fun of me. i get so distracted that i can't finish a sentence if a cyclist rides by, even if we're watching a tv show, i'll totally pause the scene and examine the bike. sickening isn't it? i love showing my friends everything about how bikes handle and why track/fixed gear bikese are so desireable in the city. hey turd...i'd like to contribute some photos of my bikes for your friends book/magazine. pm me.

My sexual proclivities for bikes...Well, first they must have drops, really like big tubing, shifters on down tubes( I look away) , brand names catches my eye...( have a thing for Litespeeds.)
Like titatium, yet like red steel...People are full of inner conflicts.
If not STI,not interested... Yeah, eyebaling the new shinny new bikes...eyeballing traffic need come first..Has to have sleek road bike lines...So far have not gone off course, cruising bikes.
My first road bike was a Scott.. My old steel Scott got really jealous last European tour....They have Scott aluminum framed bikes commonly sold in Europe...My Scott knew I only was tempted by aluminium...Did not cheat , but thought about bringing home a newer brother for my Scott steel bike so that they would have to learn to co-exist together, out in the garage.

i always check out the bike before noticing the person on it. i even notice my boyfriend's khs before seeing that its him on it.

i work at a pizza parlor facing big windows all day & have a spidey sense about bicycles going by. my head snaps up & i follow the line of the chain right away.

last time i was in richmond w/ friends, i was on my hands and knees checking out a sweet Serotta track in front of Sticky Rice. they gave me s**t about it the rest of the week. i heart the trackbikes.
