Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

^If you have money to spend.

You can try to find used but still good condition flite too for probably no more than $50

Have you ever spooned? Worth a shot if you're on a budget.

Should I black cranks+silver chain, or Silver cranks+black chain?

Black tires are in already, just waiting for wheels to get here. Pedals will be black/silver.

Black cranks + silver chain. Never really liked black chains.

Suzue promax + TB14's?

Sigh, literally just finished a wheelbuild and I'm already planning another.

Thirded. I've had people ask me why I put such a cheap saddle on a nice bike, and the answer is always that it's comfortable and looks good. Why spend more money when this one works great?

And because I've always wanted another light wheelset & this seems to be a nice looking and economical combo.

Probably. Hand positions are nice if you go on long rides.

I'm starting to get pretty sick of the way my drops feel without hoods. Considering dummy hoods even if I look like a dummy riding them. Don't care.

490 grams!!??!!??

Velocity A23, Aerohead, and Fusion are all lighter than that and cost less.

I'll admit, I'd hit it based on looks but I'd just as soon pick up a set of Araya Golds even though they're t00bular.

The badge weighs 70g.

In comparison, Velo Orange's 22mm wide Raid rim weighs 530g.
