Ok, so im sitting at my favorite coffee shop, outside, where its raining a little, thats when i see it. Some sissy-lala is driving around in there brand new toyota tacoma..........with a beautiful matching bianchi pista proudly sittin in the bed. I would really like to know what this loser was thinking, why have a bike like that to throw in the back of your pickup. I live in a town of about 50,000, there is no reason to drive, anywhere, certainly not if you have a bike that fly.

why go to a coffee shop when you can make coffee in your house?

Maybe he or she is a track racer and dose not want to ride there bike on the streets. If I raced track I would not ride my track bike on the street.

Two guesses. a) he's a beginning trackie. That's his track ride and he's on his (or her!) way to the 'drome.... nah. b) Dude, how else is a guy supposed to get to the bike path?

I mean, sorry, but this is the USA. I don't know why you're surprised that people drive their bikes to and fro in their cars. It's just the way it is.

It could be for some one else and he or she is picking up from the shop.

c) he has a flat and is taking it to his LBS to have professionally repaired.

d) It is not his, but a present for his son who wanted a nagasawa.

Yes, but once you have that truck, you can DRIVE to the track. (it's true and sometimes a necessary evil)

Maybe he has a knee injury and didn't want his pista to forget what wind blowing through its hair was like.

I work with someone who has a hairy bike. It was a bison all last winter (horns and all!) and then this spring struck with a horrible horrible case of mange.

and, really, i don't give a monkey what anybody else does with their bike. unless he was dragging it by a chain down the street behind his truck. then i would probably stare, point, and scratch my head.
