why?

Ok, so im sitting at my favorite coffee shop, outside, where its raining a little, thats when i see it. Some sissy-lala is driving around in there brand new toyota tacoma..........with a beautiful matching bianchi pista proudly sittin in the bed. I would really like to know what this loser was thinking, why have a bike like that to throw in the back of your pickup. I live in a town of about 50,000, there is no reason to drive, anywhere, certainly not if you have a bike that fly.

oaxacarider 11-15-04 07:38 PM

why go to a coffee shop when you can make coffee in your house?

glomarduck 11-15-04 07:38 PM

Maybe he or she is a track racer and dose not want to ride there bike on the streets. If I raced track I would not ride my track bike on the street.

bostontrevor 11-15-04 07:39 PM

Two guesses. a) he's a beginning trackie. That's his track ride and he's on his (or her!) way to the 'drome.... nah. b) Dude, how else is a guy supposed to get to the bike path?

I mean, sorry, but this is the USA. I don't know why you're surprised that people drive their bikes to and fro in their cars. It's just the way it is.

glomarduck 11-15-04 07:42 PM

It could be for some one else and he or she is picking up from the shop.

46x17 11-15-04 07:44 PM

c) he has a flat and is taking it to his LBS to have professionally repaired.

46x17 11-15-04 07:45 PM

d) It is not his, but a present for his son who wanted a nagasawa.

fixinskitchin 11-15-04 07:47 PM

ok, i said 50,000 there is to track here.....and come on , if they cared that much about there bike it would be in the rainy bed, it would be in the cab.

s2sxiii 11-15-04 07:47 PM

If a pista is "fly" then that makes my langster the schitt right?

fixinskitchin 11-15-04 07:47 PM

to=no

bostontrevor 11-15-04 07:49 PM

Yes, but once you have that truck, you can DRIVE to the track. (it's true and sometimes a necessary evil)

Shiznaz 11-15-04 07:51 PM

Maybe he has a knee injury and didn't want his pista to forget what wind blowing through its hair was like.

bostontrevor 11-15-04 07:54 PM

I work with someone who has a hairy bike. It was a bison all last winter (horns and all!) and then this spring struck with a horrible horrible case of mange.

why type on a computer when you can write in your hand-pressed paper journal?

HereNT 11-15-04 08:33 PM

Because I type so much faster than I write longhand. And I get to annoy more people.

Next question?

Fugazi Dave 11-15-04 08:57 PM

HE MUST ANSWER THE COFFEE QUESTION OR WE WITHHOLD PIE!!!!!

Dieses ist Richtlinie meines Führers.

Jesse M 11-15-04 09:03 PM

maybe he was on a trip and passing through your town?

ostro 11-15-04 09:42 PM

maybe it was a "buy a truck get a track bike at Totyota" buying incentive

slvoid 11-15-04 09:52 PM

Maybe he STOLE it and was driving it to the pawn shop.

pitboss 11-15-04 09:53 PM

maybe he ****ing sucks

along the paved road to hell

auroch 11-16-04 01:04 PM

maybe his truck was getting serviced and he rode his bike to pick it up?

and, really, i don't give a monkey what anybody else does with their bike. unless he was dragging it by a chain down the street behind his truck. then i would probably stare, point, and scratch my head.

turd 11-16-04 01:52 PM

man we are all really fkn bored at work aren't we.. i actually read every single reply. oh jeez..
