Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Does this hub exist?

I'm looking for a 36h 130mm or 135mm hub. Aside from Phil Wood and another expensive brand, I can't find any. I don't have more than 50 or 60 dollars to spend on the hub. Anyone know of any such hubs?

Bikes: See my sig...

The 50-60 price range will limit you to a Formula... we build custom hubs in any spacing and drilling and although they cost less than a PW and are every bit as good, they are still not cheap.

Nice thing about a Formula hub is that they deliver some pretty nice bang for the buck.

It looks like Surly makes one or two, but they're SS only. Or SS/disc, but I have no idea what the chainline would be with a bolt-on cog on a 130mm hub.

Axels are generally interchangeable, right? I have a 130mm axle laying around, could I just replace the axle of a 120mm hub with that?

This is so for loose ball hubs. Anything with cartridge bearings will have propriety axles.

Bikes: too many

120mm formula with 10-15mm of washers, i believe you'll need M8 or M10 washers. throw those under the locknut on either side
