I'm just shy of 6'. My Pista is a 57 and my road conversion is supposedly a 59 although I've never measured it myself. Interestingly, I have less standover on the 57 Bianchi than the Univega road frame. I think it has to do with the track geometry and the way Bianchi sizes their frames or something.

I'm 5'9" (175cm)
84cm inleg 54cm frame c/c 53cm t/t 130cm stem Yes, its probably on the small side, but I built it 25 years ago and it has become part of me. I firmly believe in a short wheelbase (96cm axle to axle) and very stiff rear end for racing. This is the frame with "crossed seat stays" as I called it, (now called triple trangle by GT) that the Colnago sales manager saw (and photographed) in 1980 when I was working for the Australian importer of Campag, Colnago 3ttt, Cinelli, Suntour, Mavic, Clement, Sugino, etc etc. A year later Colnago launched their road frames with seat stays done this way. Yes, I now know Thanet (UK) did it in the twenties, but in '76 when I devised it, I had no idea about Thanet. It just goes to show that there ain't anything new !! Bobthe.... |
I'm about 5'7", my fixed gear is a 57cm road frame, proabably a bit big but the way I put it together it works out.
My MTB is a bit too small, 16" frame, I have the seatpost jacked up to the max. |
5'5", 50cm c-c seat tube, 52cm c-c top tube, 51.5cm reach from tip of saddle to center of stem clamp.
|
i'm 5'11" and riding a 58cm. it's a little big, but not too bad...
|
im 6' tall and my IRO was a 59, but both of my old schwinns were 63's I'd rather ride the larger frame. One problem on my IRO was i had to have alot of spacers under the stem, and i didnt like the way it looked.
|
Whereas I am 6 ft even and INKD's former IRO fits me perfectly. I think INKD has much longer arms though
|
i'm 6'4". i prefer a smaller frame, though i ride a variety of sizes. i try to keep my combined top tube length and stem length around 70 cm...
my most comfortable bike is my iro jamie roy fixie. 59 c-t, but the top tube is slightly compact. 58 c-c top tube, 120mm stem, fairly deep (180mm) modolo track bars. my guerciotti sl (geared) is a 58 c-c seat tube and 58 c-c top tube with a 120mm stem and 150mm deep itm track bars. my bianchi pista is a 58 c-c seat tube and 57 c-c top tube, with a 130mm 3ttt pista stem with a very negative drop and super deep (200mm), and sexy i might add, 3ttt pista bars. my ross (geared) and my peugeot (fixed) are 63 c-c, but i have more of an upright position on these due to my inverted and rotated cruiser bars on them. they droop down and swoop back. 120mm stem on the peugeot, and a too short 100 mm stem on the ross due to not being able to find a 120 length stem with a .883 quill... how's that for too much information? i'm not working late or bored or anything of the sort... *ahem* |
5'8" on a 54cm frame or sometimes a 56 (as I recall) which is a bit too long on the top tube. Real comfy like, though I just swapped out a different saddle for a new Turbo and need to get my saddle position dialed in again.
|
Im, 5'-11" almost 6', on a 56cm IRO Jamie Roy. I am on a 140mm stem, seat about centered and a little back. 165 cranks. Im still fudging with the fit. Saddle is high but not bad at all, the reach is what I am working on. My other bike is a 60cm Cannondale Black Lightening, way too big, seat is real low in the frame, the reach is a bit long but ok. The 'dale tracks like a big pair of GS skis, descents are hot on it but its not the most agile thing in the world at that hight.

i am 5'10'' and i ride a 51. i have a really long torso and really short legs, so even with that frame the tt is snug.
|
5'10" frame
53cm frame edit - Sagittarius if that helps |
wow, all of this info was very interesting, very interesting indeed.
thanks a lot you guy's make this type of stuff fun!! |
I'm 5'10" tall and my bike range from 53-56cm. I like the Rivendale postioning and have my bars about even with the saddle. It doesn't seem to hurt my speed as my sprint hits 35mph and downhills at 37mph. My goal is to break the 40mph barrier some day.

is anyone keeping score?
|
I'm 5'8" with a 82cm inseam. My bikes are 56 and 58 cm ctt. On the 56 I have a 13 cm stem, for a total of 69cm. On the 58 I have a 10cm stem for a total of 68.

I'm about 5'9"-10" and ride a 57cm c-c or 62cm c-t my seatpost is only like 5cm max from the top of my seat tube and it feels about perfect and i have a pretty long stem (don't really remember what size) I have really long arms.

So Hammye, publish a table at the end. I cannot be bothered with all the math.
|
6'2" long legs and arms, I ride a 61cm and a 63cm frame
|
6'5"
Frame size? Whatever you got that starts with a 6. Shoe size? 14 |
I'll add to the taller size cat...

5'11'' with one 56cm, and two 58cm. the 56 is a track frame and the 58's are road. the road bikes feel better being a larger size and the track bike feels better being a bit smaller.
