Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Irene. Wish you coasties well.

Been through a few storms, personally. And know the metro areas---concrete---is not well equipped for all the rain.

Hopefully just a grazing storm.

Good Luck, doesn't look as bad as they expected. But it could always change.

The folks here in Clinton CT have been told if you are south of I-95, that you should evacuate. Im 1000ft above sea level, so I'm not going anywhere.

Thanks for the good wishes. Thanks also for the thread title, which sounds enough like a porno that I smirked and giggled.
Everybody here is on the edge of their seat waiting for the storm to do its thing. Hope you folks are safe.

I actually can't wait for it to start here, I'm strangely fascinated by this storm.

My 930 and Bianchi in the basement on hooks. The mtb is in a shed, since I really don't like it, I don't care what happens to it.

200+ miles inland we got dark clouds, light wind, and no rain. We need some rain .

We're 200 feet from the ocean and about 24 feet above sea level here so I'm sure we'll be just fine tomorrow. Uhhhh.........

A bit further from the ocean than you, Scrod, but about the same elevation. Live near a river and from the way I saw it rise with the little rain we got this afternoon, I'm a bit more nervous about my garage flooding than I was this morning. Still pretty sure it'll turn out to be nothing for us, but we don't have ac and we're roasting having to keep the windows of our apartment shut. Will be glad when it's over and the humidity goes back down.

Philly is pretty wet. The TV just said something about a tornado warning, but it doesn't look too bad from the window I'm supposed to not be sitting next to.

Just had a tornado warning in Toms River (about a 1/2 mile from the coast in Toms River, NJ.) It has been raining hard all day and very windy. My garage is steadily flooding too so I had to bring my bikes inside for the night. According to the tracking map, the eye is supposed to pass right over my house at 6:30 AM. Guess its gonna be a sleepless night

Storm is a joke in the DC area. Love how everybody over reacts. Hell, my jets flew down to Eglin AFB for the weekend. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Went through Hurricane Charlie, Francis and Jennie in 2004 in Daytona -- don't take these storms lightly - a Cat 1 can do a lot of wind and water damage.

I've been through: Bob, Hugo, Andrew, Gordon, dennis, floyd, bill, now Irene and likely more.

Irene has been nothing so far.

Red skies at night over Lake Champlain today, Irene will be here in the morning.

Burlington is pretty up in arms over the storm, I don't think it will amount to much. I plan on being out with my camera for hurricane photos. Also to see which bars are offering hurricane specials...
