This is the beer menu where I work. I've had all of the drafts and about half of the bottles and cans. Right now, drinking a Six Points Bengali Tiger. Good stuff.
Also, I had almost forgotten I'd started this thread. |
Recently, I tried premium tequila for the first time. Hornitos resposado. I just put it on ice and sipped away. I couldn't believe it's even in the same category as the vile bar-shot variety. It's changed my opinion on tequila entirely. Now, if only I could afford to buy some....

Fremont Brewing Company Interurban IPA and Wandering Wheat, respectively:

Ska Brewing Co.'s Mexican Logger
http://craftcans.com/cards/big_cards...loggercard.jpg It's hoppier than any other lager I've tried, tasting much more like a milder Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, but with a cleaner finish and much less bitterness at the end. It's a really good mow-the-lawn, build-a-bike, put-in-a-coozie-and-go-toobing beer. You HAVE to dig the neon green can. |
I like most stuff from Ska. I'm now drinking the Dogfish Head/Stone/Victory Saison Du Buff. Collaboration beers are hit or miss, but this is solid.

Once the Helles sells out we are getting the Fastenbier. Some of the prices are kind of high, but those are usually beers that no one near us has. Also, the part of town we're in is kind of "rich yuppy" friendly, so it works. Misskaz thinks our prices are a bit high too, though.

Have to agree that anyone who has never tried premium tequila has yet to live a complete life.. my time in Mexico was also an opportunity to sample some outstanding tequila that, like a good Scotch, needs to be savoured and appreciated. Found that the same applied to rum in that the small distilleries I bought from in the West Indies produced a rum of a quality you can rarely find here. |
Just logged another 15 miles. Had to stop for a pint of the one on the right:

Had some zoltani homebrew last night; also some whiskey that tasted like old man and shoe shine (do not remember name).

Tonight I drank a bunch of rare Three Floyds stuff. Good times.

While furniture shopping with my better half we had a brief stop for a Troubador Magma in Shinjuku, then hit up a beer bar near home for a pint of Baird's Continental IPA, and their Kurofune Porter. Finished off with a can of Ao Oni at home. It was a good day.
