Get a Charge Bucket! ^^^
It looks like a turbo but is a lot cheaper. Mine's been in the rain a lot and it's still doing okay, and even if it does get ruined it didn't cost much. Also I'm finding mine to be really really comfy |

hey scrod why do you choose to ride 49/17 and not anything higher/lower? what are your experiences with this ratio?
Also, do you think that having a higher ratio really makes you faster in sprints/ overall? thanks alot! this thread is great! |

Turbos aren't made with leather like they used to be
calbob - Don't listen to evil. If you like the looks of the Turbo but don't want leather, the Charge Bucket is a good way to go. Not as comfortable as a Turbo IMO, but still a great saddle. |

Do a little more research. The 1980 reissue - which is the model currently available - has a nubuck leather cover and made to original specs.

Whatever...don't listen to him anyway. He doesn't even know what kind of frame or crankset he has.

Hey scrojeera,
I noticed you have some leader kangeroos in stock. What are your initial impressions of them? Have you ridden one yet? Is it a "trackworthy" bike? |
I've never ridden on the track so when it comes to the Kagero being "trackworthy", I have no idea. I will say it's an extremely well-made, nicely finished and quite beautiful frame.
As for my initial response, I was pleasantly surprised. The color looks a lot nicer in person too. |
hey scrod:

This is me "thanking you later" for recommending the Kool Stop Bead Jack to mount the Gator Hardshells. It was a freaking breeze, so, thanks!
|
No prob. I love the Bead Jack!

Dear Dave, is $60 dollars a cool price to sell for my B-17? Little expensive? Cheap? It's in good condition, doubt it's even broken in fully.
|
I sold mine for $80.
|
|
calv I sold mine for $70 shipped, but I didn't try that hard
scrod: what's the lowest I should take for my 725. the local guy didn't show up ($275) and now some guy in OKC wants me to ship it to him for $275 |
What's included in the sale? Just the frame? $275 means you're only netting about $250, assuming you have packing materials and you opt for the cheapest possible shipping method.
|
yeah I have the box and most of the packing materials, may need to get some extra bubble wrap. cheapest shipping looks around $20 (it's only going to OK)
everything from the headset, minus the starnut, is included. |
Dear Scrod,
I have a Pake frameset i got recently from craigslist. I wanted to get a new fork for it, the website says the steer tube it 1 1/8" but the fork and headset installed on this frame is 1", and it seems to be working fine. I havent measured the Steer tube yet though. I am also pretty sure that the fork is the stock unicrown fork that comes with the black frames. I asked you cuz you have some Pake frames in your store. Do you know if old Pake frames have 1" steer tubes? or should i just get a new headset when i get a new fork? |
Do you like "The Walking Dead?" (warning: zombies & gore)
