You're probably going to hate the Sylvans. Go with either the MKS GR-9 or GR-10, depending on the size of your foot (GR-9 for size 9 and under, GR-10 for 10+)

Hey scrod,
I am currently looking for bicycle lights and i realy would appreciate some recommendations (brands, models....) Im looking for lights so i can be seen but not necessarily to see clearly the road. Rechargeable would be awesome but if batteries are better so be it. If you could point me towards some that would fit these criterias it would be great. |
Thanks for the package, awesome! BTW that filler y'all use is way cool. Wish I could read Japanese.

Hey Scrod!
What's the meaning of life? Where do babies come from? Is global warming real, or are the liberals lying to us? Thanks. |

I was going to recommend something from Cyrgolite as well. They're bulky and a little utilitarian looking but are very bright as bmwjoe said.
You did say however that you weren't really looking for a headlight that lights up the road so in that case, just pick up a set of small Knog Blinders (the ones with one LED bulb). |
Great. Thx for the answers guys. I am in fact going for some cyglo lights.
Since im ordering cool stuff i was wondering what your thoughts were on the portland design works ninja pump. I yhink its pretty cool but i dont know how its jolding up. Im looking for a pump i can easily carry in my bag with all my school stuff so i need it to be durable and solid (no plastic). Also any thoughts on CO2cartridges? If you have other recommendations id be glad to hear them! |
I loathe mini pumps. Get a PDW Shiny Object and a handful of threaded cartridges instead.

hahaha Great input guys thanks!
Ive never had CO2 cartridges, how reliable are they and to what pressure can they get your tires? I like the idea though. i will give it a shot |

Hi Scrod.
I have thunderdome with cane creek headset 400. I recently replace my stem. I noticed that my fork is freely going up and down. I had to insert spaces to prevent fork from going up and down. It is my assumption now that stem is actually holding a fork from going up and down. Is that correct? Thank you for your help. |
You need to pre-load your headset using the top cap and the correct amount of spacers before you tighten your stem's pinch bolts. If you are using the correct amount of spacers, there should be a 3-5mm gap between the top of your steerer and the top of your stem (inside the stem).
If you can't figure it out, I'm sure any bike shop in NYC can help you. |

question, what frames are compatable with the sram omnium as far as track frames go? please and thanks.

what year is it

I bought some new spacers to go with a new stem for my Kilo. The bike originally came with 50mm worth of spacers. I wanted less and with me being a noob only bought 40mm worth of new spacers without even considering the fact that the steerer tube would then be sticking up past the stem.
Is my only option if I want a shorter stack to get the tube cut? Is this a relatively quick and easy thing for a bike shop to do? |
