Thruster Fixie at Walmart for $99
Hello everyone, first time poster, short time cyclist.
I stopped by my local Walmart and saw a "Truster Fixie." I wanted to know if anyone else has spotted it or bought it, if so what do you think of it? I tried to research the company but could not find anything about it.
I don't know what size the wheels are but they have these huge tires on them, I would want to get them changed imminently to 23. Any info would be appreciated.

since seeing this a few days ago online, ive spotted one at my school on campus. not very appealing, and components are low end. I'd steer clear and look on craigslist for a fix me up vintage road bike if youre looking for something cheap
just ask yourself, do i really trust walmart with a fixed gear?

Built by guys with no bike shop experience...just the same guys who stock everything else in the store.
The brakes won't work. The levers will suck. Just a mis-mash of the same cheap parts that are on every other cheap bike in the store.

What brake calipers ? I don't see any brake calipers. Oh, do you mean those paper thin metal thingies ?

Hmm, I'm going to have to see if the store I work at carries these. I'm trying to transfer over to bike assembler but they won't let me for a while and they rarely have openings.

Hey guys I just bought one of these thanks to this thread which convinced me! Upon purchase I installed a basket in front to hold my Happy Meals, and McDonalds called me asking me to accept advertising money from them.
Also the brakes broke while I was braking, breaking my broken arm.

Thanks man, I always get that wrong. I'm worse at grammar then others.
Edit: Riding the Thruster between your legs has the potential to be highly pleasurable! I'm sure some people who are cheap may pay for it. Thrust that Thruster in between your legs and enjoy!

One of the kids at my school has one of those. Horrible everything. Painted rims, ****ty brake levers, ****ty brakes - a death trap. Save up a bit more - you can find a decent SSFG for 200-300 on your Craigslist, or BikesDirect, or just get an older ten speed. If you really need to get something cheap to ride from Wally World, get a beach cruiser with a coaster brake.

It will be "assembled." This means to make it safe to ride you will need to go through it, true the wheels, put grease where it needs to be, and adjust the axle cones and brakes.
And you'll still have a crap bike.
Converting a cheap 10 speed will take about the same amount of work and cost about the same price, but you'll have something much less cheesy.

I'm tempted to get one & put a real front caliper on it.
Cranks also scare me for some reason. Izzit square taper 3-piece on there? Maybe I should swap those out too.
