bullhorn reach question

I'm getting a bullhorn or a pursuit bar (with drop). Some brands come to mind are Origin 8, Profile Design, etc. I would like to find out what the reach is. Is it pretty much the same as a regular road bar + shifter hood length OR longer?

Thanks a bunch.

Depends on the bar, but many of them are a bit longer than road bar hood position. I know lots of people run shorter stems when using bullhorns.

do NOT get the origin 8 bullhorns. save your pennies. get the Nitto RB-002s. It's worth the extra month wait.

I bought the orgin 8's only to buy the Nitto's later.

regarding the reach. i don't know.

Yeah, I have these:

They have good reach and they have some drop too.

I just got the second pair that Court threw up there. I like them a lot, not too far on reach, feels close to my hoods-ish, but a little higher up.

I kind of like mine. I think I want some with no drop though since I spend most of my time riding on the flat-drop transition and I think non-drop bullhorns would be more comfortable for me. Definitely not bad bars though, I'll likely keep them around.

Reach is different for every model, find the specs, and figure out where you're going to put your brake levers. Those are the two critical decisions.

I found this from perdirmancebike.com,
called Forte Union bullhorn, the reach seems quite short
