new project...

Due to situations beyond my control~namely my lust for all things curvy with different sized wheels~ the bike picture in this thread https://www.bikeforums.net/singlespeed-fixed-gear/75139-feeling-little-old-school.html is probably going to getting parted out. Board members will get first dibs and great deals, ebay will be a last resort. Its looking like everything but the cranks and pedals and wheels will be up for grabs if this deal goes through.

I think im gonna get my hands on an old time trial frame. curved top tube, straight seat tube, 700 rear, 24 front. mavic bullhorns, tubular wheels, custom paint job by yours truly. Watch this space tomorrow for the before picture.

What the F, dude? Have you thought about maybe riding a bike for more than a few months before changing it out for something else??

I hear ya on the TT frame though. Mmm...

Bikes: Haro Backtrail 20" (MISSING), Fuji Berkeley fixie, Huffy cruisercommuterdeathmobile

What sort of wheels do you have, either the ones that were on there in the pic or the originals? (Or are they the same?)

For anyone who read my post about my GF's wreck, the only reason she was riding my cruiser into the side of a car in the first place is that a drunk friend fell on her bike and bent the ancient steel rim.

yeah yeah i know. But im not one the guys that has like 8 bikes all sitting around to look at. I only have one bike at a time. And i love my schwinn to death but if you had the opportunity to get an old school time trial frame, fork, headset, bottom bracket, front tubular wheel. for $25 what would you do? I dont have space to park bikes in my apartment. So if i can only have one bike at a time, then i'll change at my hearts content.

Oh and its a typo about the wheels. they aren't up for grabs. you guys wouldnt want them anyway. 27" extremely dished over rear with cog jb welded on.

I would do what I do now, pile them bastards up in the front hallway and mumble and keep my head down everytime I run into one of my upstairs neighbors who want to discuss all the stuff I have locked to the radiator.

I'd offer $15! 25 sounds like a ripoff for that!

im glad the guy either doesnt know any better, or just doesnt care. he could have told me $100 and i still would have scrambled the money together. I've seen these frames come and go, just the other night some old guy was riding a fuji funny bike. I talked to him for a little bit, but inside i was jealous and mad. I have to treat this one right. I might even try to go a year without changing frames!!!!!!!!!!

the fork on your Schwin, is that the same "Generic road straight-blade fork" on bikeworks? the one for 55 bucks? yours looks pretty rad.
