Winter Project Updates!
#3
I just decided about 2 minutes ago that I'm going to rebuild my gravity swift this winter since all I really need for it is a fork and a wheelset. It'll be nice to have 2 bikes I think.

Will give all my bikes a good cleaning/maintenance PLUS will build two new ..
Rebuild of a '93 Cannondale M series frame, sandblast, powder coat, build up with XTR. Second project is a rust-free 1973 Motobecane steel frame which will be built up with a Campa Chorus. Guess I will post some pictures when they're finished.

With a new saddle on the way, my IRO is finished unless I decide to buy a new seat post. My Peugeot needs a set of fenders and a bell and that's done. I might work on my vintage Schwinn cruiser, or maybe I'll find another old mountain bike to dink around with. Haven't decided yet.

Need to take 10 minutes and put my studded tires on... and do a quick 5 minute bearing/bolt check before going out into the winter wonderland.

You can in the rear if you move the wheel all the way to the back in the dropouts. However, it will hit the bottom of the fork crown in the front. You could probably safely grind away enough material on the fork to make one fit, since the steerer tube extends well below the welds to the fork legs in the unicrown.

I'll probably work on my tourer this winter, some much needed maintenance:
- Install new brake cables, check shifter cables
- Learn to service hubs, something I've never done before but need to learn
- Check rims for wear
- Thorough cleaning all over
- Replace any rusted bolts
Then it will be ready to hit the road for some major touring next spring and summer.

I'm building up my early 90s DeBernardi with campy 9 speed.I've also decided to go 1x9 instead of SS on my Ti mtb project.

Getting rollers and making myself ride through the winter. I don't have enough money to do any winter builds. Maybe come summer I'll build up a tubular wheelset for the track. I talked to a guy from the velodrome in Burnaby and he said my bike would be fine if I take off the brake and put some drops on it.
