Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

What's this worth?

I have a 2000 or 2001 Surly Cross-Check (the green one Reynolds 631) size 52cm and back in late July, I managed to bend the derailleur hangar. Needless to say, it is now bent and ovalized so nothing can be done to straighten it save welding on a new one. How much would you say the frame and fork are worth?

I've always thought it was a little too big for me and selling this to buy a new frame and fork would be a preferable path.

I'll give you ten bucks. And just cause I'm feeling generous, I'll even cover shipping. Sound good?

Bikes: Too Many

Any builder can weld in a new set of dropouts for you for under $100. It is a common issue.

Bikes: Crust Romanceur, VO Polyvalent, Surly Steamroller, others?

I'll burn you a mix CD for it if you don't want to get the dropouts replaced.
