Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Walmart fixie

I saw this bike at Walmart the other night and was kinda blown away at the details it has.

The Thruster Fixie is all about keeping things simple and getting it done without breaking the bank. At the heart of the Fixie, you'll find a strong, hand-crafted frame with horizontal dropouts that can handle the abuse of the big city. City riders told us that they don't need derailleurs, so we listened and outfitted this bike with a flip-flop hub so you can run it as a fixed gear or in standard freewheel, single-speed mode without having to worry about adjustments to temperamental components.

There's been enough talk about this bike and a link to one of the archives is provided above.
