I think I will start wrapping from the tops more often

Looks good

What's so special about Fizik Dual Tape ? I like Easton Velo tape at half the price.

Fizik tape feels great and the dual looks a little cooler than the regular. I'm not fan of cork/foam tapes besides textured Soma Thick and Zesty

I've been waiting for this one to come around again... (vanity be my name :) )

I wrap mine from the stem out, like this :D

Sorry for the cellphone pics. I'll get a good photo of the red and white ones on the bike, outdoors, tomorrow. The blue and orange wore out due to use, and have been replaced with simple orange cork, wrapped from the stem out, clockwise.

Where it's double stitched, is air cushioning, and soaks up vibrations extremely well. It's a very comfortable bar tape.

Question for those of you using Lizard Skins: With other self adhesive bar tapes I've used, the adhesive and part of the wrap usually tears off and leaves a lot of bar tape and residue on the bars. Does Lizard Skins do this or does it come off pretty clean?

Also, what does cloth tape with schellac feel like, hairnet? It looks like it would get sweaty and slippery. Definitely a good wrap job and a cool vintage look though!

I usually rub the adhesive side against the tire a couple times to remove some of the tackiness. It still sticks to itself fine but makes it easier to remove from the bars... and if I screw up it's recoverable.

Bar ends -> stem, over the top away from the tt. Finish with electrical tape and a drop of gorilla glue to keep the tape end from peeling.

When I did the blue/orange set last year, I followed these instructions. I did the red/white set last week without any instructions. It mostly takes patience, it took me a couple hours per set, at least. I like to put on a movie while I do it, too. ("Ivan Vasilievich Changes Profession" during the blue/orange set, and "Running Man" during the red/white set :))

Also, and I don't think it is mentioned in the instructions, it helps if you use a twist tie or a zip tie or a velcro strap of some kind to keep the rolled up tape from unrolling, since you may need to set it down or let it hang occasionally to be able to work with the overlap. Also, if it isn't mentioned in the instructions, it helps to keep the tension consistent so that your pattern doesn't "wander" around the bars too much. (see the non-bell side of the blue/orange set)
