Dave As for the ride, this was easily one of the most difficult I've ever done - only 44 miles but 6180 ft climbing and nine miles of washed out road on the shoulder of Big Frog Mountain left me exhausted. I was exploring a side road and surprised a group of about eight boars! They seemed as startled as I was and I didn't stick around to take pictures. Burned through two bottles and a 70 oz camelbak in about four hours and used a Sawyer filtration system to filter water from a beautiful mountain stream. At the 3/4 mark of a twenty five mile ride. After this it was alleys,uphill with a headwind.

Banged out my first metric of the season a couple days ago. Currently sitting at 45/19 and might even gear that down a little lower.

Central Seoul. There's a bunch of fixie kids fooing around here, but I spend around 20 hours/wk around the main bicycle paths and almost never see anyone over 15 years old on a fixed gear. Maybe I'm missing something, but all the fixed gear shops cater to the young crowd, too, and their higher-end offerings are from like Leader and State, with a smattering of Cinellis thrown in. All the young adults I see who are serious about bikes at all are on ultra high-end road bikes, but maybe I'm just not looking in the right place?

From the looks of your photos, it looks like you make a few stops along the Han River. Do you ever go to Banpodaegyo (Banpo Bridge aka Rainbow Bridge)? A lot of fixed gear fanatics tend to make that their pit stop (at least it was 4 years ago when I was still there). Also to Color Park near 63 City in Yeouido. Speaking of looking in the right places, check out this site (if you haven't already): ½Ì±Û±â¾î : ³×À̹ö Ä«Æä . It's basically the fixed gear world in Korea, online. Not sure how good your Korean is, but I'm sure you can figure out where the "search" button is and if you type down "NJS" you'll find a good number of bikes/parts. Note: member GOODENOUGH has some of THE best parts. Bring a towel for your drool.
