But soon, you guys can hate me as well. I am planning the route we are driving from Cleveland to SF in August.......

Nothing confirmed, jobwise, yet. We are gonna be roughing it, on our savings, til then. Mi Chica has to "jump through hoops" to get her nursing license transferred too...

Is it way foggier than usual in SF this year? It seems like there was years when I saw hardly any fog. I haven't been back to NoCal in the last couple years. People always say SF, Marin, Humbolt etc are foggy but I always thought that was a combination of historical fact and exaggeration, and that global warming was killing it off. This is mostly experience in East Bay though.

The fog in the east bay is smoke from crack pipes and throwaway shooters.

A couple years ago I was surfing up in Stinson(north of SF), I paddled out about 7 am. Lot of chop close to shore so I paddled hard and didn't wanna stop til I was sure I was far enough. Stopped and turned around and the fog was between me and the beach. I couldn't see land at all except to my far left, Bolinas, which juts out about 2 miles away. I sat there for about 20 minutes(which seemed like forever) until it blew out. I ended up being about 150 yards out. Man, it was CREEPY out there like that...

You know, I'm not quite sure how its changed over the years -- I just moved up here almost exactly a year ago. I do know that last year was unusually NOT foggy/cold this time of year and on into the summer/fall like in past seasons. Generally though, when its hot every else its cold up in the city any visa versa with the exception of the winter months. Mother nature be cray cray.

Yeah being out on the water is super creep status when fog is present..

just a fruitfone "panorama" that i put into IG, i had already done a lot of hills so it was good enough for me lol

i really just wanted that cargo ship on the left, it had some serious ghost ship vibes coming off of it with the fog and haze. but digital zoom on a phone is trash.

Pisgah national forest, right outside of Brevard. There is lots of awesome mountain biking, as well as just camping and hiking in general.

Mumonkan 06-01-15 03:16 PM

i hope those roots/rocks were a down and not an up
