Hell no, haha. That would be nuts... I hate that descent on my roadbike... in the daytime. We went back down to the roundabout and headed down to the beach.

edit: strava

That is a frightening descent for sure, probably in the top 5 for me. That first right turn is sharp, and just staring off at what looks like a straight drop to the ocean gives the illusion that you will die if you go over the guardrail.

They don't call it "the edge of the world descent" for nothing. I have friends that bomb down it, but I just can't bring myself to push it, haha. It's not until almost the very end that I feel confident enough to get some real speed going.

More pics from the MASHSF NAHBS TT race:

My steed all ready to race the night before:

Tired legs:

The breakaway/chase group (We were the second group in, 5 min behind the winning team. The next group behind us was 15 minutes back) :

I used to think spoke cards were lame as hell. I guess my opinion changed when I actually earned one.

What a ride.

Short afternoon solo ride today. The TET amazes me every time I ride it. Got a flat a mile from home though.

hoods look like they'd actually be a wee bit too high if the bar angle were corrected

Great shot, wish I could get down to your end of town sometime soon... I love riding along the river, but the weekends have been nasty lately. Of course the weekdays have been 60*+ while Im stuck inside, oh well, the rollers have been getting a hell of a workout tho ; )
