Yeah, if you think about it there's only so much material they can cover before it gets to be a stretch, at least with how the show is set up with skits and such. I think the show was an amazing idea but they fell short with the execution. It's still funny for the most part though.

OMG! i know these guys...lol....well, almost. When I ride home from work I pass these 2 guys and every time someone passes them, the one laying down in his recumbent says...."You think they're serious about biking?" " I mean look what he's wearing." "You think that jogger is serious? He can't even stay in his lane" "Look at his bike, that's not a bike that belongs on a bike trail, way too slow."

I was riding my SS on the trail to get a feel for the adjustments I made and he passes me and looks at his friend and goes....ready...."Singlespeed, now he's definitely not serious about biking." lol!!! What a tool!

I have never seen Portlandia. Definitely want to watch a bit on my apartment-mate's netflix. The cycling scene in my hometown is non-existent, and in my university it is just a bunch of hipsters who think they are better than every one because they ride bikes. Besides my friends (two of them anyway) there are no decent people who ride. One kid, who used to try to help me repair my bike, couldn't even fix his own flat. Tire levers were not even necessary. Welcome to the North Country.
