I lost my **** when he snuck in "go vegan". I love this show.

RGNY 01-25-12 05:25 AM

we don't have those, but if the caricature is even partially true, that's pretty funny.....

Nuggetross 01-25-12 05:35 AM

i've never seen this before.

Nick Bain 01-25-12 06:57 AM

I nearly hurt myself laughing at this show

sleepykitty 01-25-12 07:27 AM

Absolutely hilarious!

Seriously? I thought every city had them?

Portlandia is funny as hell, though. You should check out the other clips - the satire on the 'culture' is hilariously awesome.

I am on a bike.

I think the reason why Portlandia is so funny is that so many people can identify (in some way...some more than others) with the characters and the setting.

I live in Richmond VA, and Portlandia reminds me very much of certain parts (both geographical and cultural) of Richmond.

Santaria 01-25-12 11:34 AM

great show. The dating guy with a tattoo one is the best still, imho.

MrJay 01-25-12 11:34 AM

PS: Am I the only one who thinks the female co-star is hot in her own strange way. Like really hot. Especially with the long hair (one of the militant-feminist characters).

carleton 01-25-12 11:40 AM

FYI, Portlandia is currently on Netflix instant.

GMJ 01-25-12 12:43 PM

Yeah, that's how I found it.

And yes, the female co-star is a babe.

carleton 01-25-12 12:55 PM

Two of my most favorite characters ever:

Could you just tell us a little bit more about the chicken? Is it local?

xavier853 01-25-12 01:07 PM

We can pickle that!

The show was good for a while but it's gotten too out of hand IMO. The part with the asians was the best for sure.

carleton 01-25-12 02:04 PM

I know what I'm watching tonight!

newaddiction 01-25-12 02:04 PM

Haven't watched the video, and won't, but I'm sure it's a bunch of stereotypical bs. lol

Yeah, I think 1 maybe two short seasons would be enough. I believe that shows should end while they are on top as opposed to running themselves into the ground and literally jumping the shark.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi..._the_shark.PNG

Jumping the shark is an idiom used to describe the moment in the evolution of a television show when it begins a decline in quality that is beyond recovery. It is synonymous with the phrase, "the beginning of the end." It also means and/or is often signified by a particular scene/episode/aspect of a show in which the writers use some type of "gimmick" in a desperate attempt to keep viewers' interest.

So...this pretty much makes your post a bs stereotypical, knee-jerk, snarky reaction to something that you've never seen before....right?

Riiiiiight.

No, I'm just tired of the 'Stuff _____ say' videos.

'Stuff white girls say'
'Stuff Drake says'

Its getting annoying.

newaddiction 01-25-12 02:13 PM

But please prove me wrong and give me some examples of what the video says?
Thanks.
