Brifters as SSFG brake levers?

I have a pair of 10-speed 105 brifters laying around, and some day I'm gonna upgrade my Crux from Sora to a 105/Ultegra 10-speed mix, which will leave me with some Sora brifters. Whatever. I was just curious if anyone here used geared brake/shift levers on their SSFG bike, because they had them, or preferred the ergonomics or something. I probably won't end up using the Sora stuff for that purpose, but I was just wondering. idk, pics if you have 'em

There's no reason you can't, but brifters are pretty expensive. Personally, I would probably rather sell the brifters and buy regular, non-crappy brakes for cheap, but that's just me.

i nearly gutted a pair of well used campagnolo ergo levers for my single speed cyclocross bike, one because i like the ergonomics and two because it is a campy equipped italian frame. eventually i thought better of it and got campy brake levers.

i would sell the sora levers and buy a standard lever.

I did with a non functional pair of Ultgera shifters because I like the ergonomics. I wouldnt it with Sora shifters, they suck.

The inelegance of it would drive me crazy but it's certainly possible.

and for kicks, you can wire the shifters to the brake and brake by shifting. dont do it, but that would be fun knowing you did it wouldn't it =>
