Gumwall tire recommendations?
Hi there.
I'm switching things up on ye olde rush and getting silver box section rims + hf hubs (sun+formulas) as I originally envisioned. I think they'd look real good with some gumwall tires. I started looking around and I can't find a whole lot of variety. Does anyone here have a particular brand/model they've tried and liked?
Ideally I'd like lower weight, <25c, and <$50 apiece but all that is flexible.
Thanks!

I'll shill for Panaracer Paselas, although I think they may be too cheap for what you're looking for.
I've got almost @1500 miles on mine so far and I've had no flats and no other issues. Seem to work just great in the wet, dry and sandy.

Anyway I had been looking up on gumwall stuff also, but haven't really found much. For me, I've been looking for something lighter weight with minimal rolling resistance for occasional velodrome use.
I briefly looked at some veloflex offerings and they seem to run a bit on the thin side (20-22mm) which I prefer, but they are a bit pricey (+$50 each)
I looked at Schwalbe Lugano's, I believe the gumwall colorway is no longer produced because not a lot of people buy them so places are selling them on closeout. Amazon has them for $17 a piece.
Edit:
Anyway here is what a Sun M13 to gumwall (Lugano's in this case) would look like:

I never realized that white wall tires were gum wall tires, that's not the definition I knew about the meaning of gum wall.
These are gum wall tires, and a nice one but expensive; see: https://www.biketiresdirect.com/produ...vo-sc-clincher also see a more reasonable priced tire: https://www.biketiresdirect.com/produ...cher-road-tire But neither of those come in a 25 width. The closest I could fine was a Grand Bois Tires called the Col de la Madeleine, but it's a 26; see: https://www.compasscycle.com/Tires.html Continental has a new tire out called the Grand Prix Classic but stock is hard to find; see: https://www.upgradecycle.com/continen...x-classic.html Challenge makes a couple but they have only 23's and 27's and cost over $60. You can get some cheap heavy Cheng Shin gumwall tires, but did I mentioned their cheap and heavy?
Getting exactly a 25 for a low cost is going to be difficult. You might have to settle for a 23; unless a 28 will fit which I doubt, but Ruffy Tuffy is another gum wall tire but it cost about $45 and is a 28.
I don't believe Panaracer is making the Gumwall Pasela in a 25 anymore.

Maybe, but their company web site didn't show any except for a few of tubulars; see: https://www.panaracer.com/road.php
