Frame Geometry Query

My first fixie was a conversion from a road bike. Now that I have a commuter I want to build up a second fixie for messing about. I need a frame which where the front wheel can clear the downtube.

Thanks in advance.

You're looking for something that can do bar spins?

What I am asking I suppose is does it depend on the Fork? I know you can swap in a smaller wheel on the front for clearance but I would like to keep both the same size.

Man, this really isn't a fixed gear trick forum. Quit while you are ahead.

What does "messing about" mean? Are you trying to say you're looking to do tricks on it? Look for Fixed Gear Free Style framesets(FGFS), those will give you the clearance to do bar spins, the sturdiness to take abuse, and run matching wheels front and rear.

If you're not looking to trick and "messing about" means something completely different, then disregard this post.

and this is not the track cycling forum either but plenty of posting about that subject goes on around here, doesn't it?

carleton, the op's question was a bit clumsy but it is not right for you to basically tell him that he is not to post or ask questions regarding a particular fixed gear biking niche because you do not like it.

OK. Then let's see how this plays out.

Probably a better question for Trick Track. All FGFS bikes there.

Bikes: good ones.

I think they look cool, but I personally see no need in me building a mashup of a bmx and road bike, when I have both.

All I really wanted to know thanks mate, and sorry for the hate. Didn't know there was a board for this type of question.
