Mercier aero tt

Anyone here have this frame??

I see mercier kilo everywhere and I actually wanna get that frame but I want to sell my aero first.

What are your thoughts if you have any experience and how much do you think I can ask for it??

Its all aluminum with a carbon fiber fork.

Heres a picture below of my fixed gear. I have a deep black mavic wheel in the back with a blue tire

Do you mind showing the whole bike and how exactly you converted it?

Ill put up a picture when I get home later tonight. I basically just fit the wheel in there and squished the frame some(not too much because it wasn't necessary)

Steep seat tube?? Is that bad??

The frame had a fixed gear wheel on it when I bought it and thats how it was mounted so figured it was fine since it functioned perfectly and it looks straight so I mounted my new wheel the same way.

I had no clue this was bad for the frame...

It's especially bad for an aluminum frame.

they make fixed gear wheels in all different axel lengths. if you put a 120 hub in a 130 aluminum spaced frame you have stressed the stays to the point where you shouldn't expect their fatigue rate to be up to standard, meaning the frame can break under normal stresses.

not all fixed hubs are 120 and if you learned that lesson by turning a TT bike into junk metal, at least it was a mercier dime a dozen frame.

steel can bend and has an elasticity that aluminum, carbon, etc don't have.

Even then it isn't great for the drop outs, and it resizing is done poorly things can may crack.

You can get a shop to respace your hub and it will take the mechanic two minutes.
