Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

For a while, my main roadie was a Bridgstone radac which was made from... glued aluminum tubes.

In a sense, I prefer the feel of it over my carbon BMC. It just took me a while to get used to the carbon bike, and now, I love it...

I will. I think brazing is the first course. My dad even has a torch set, flux, and solder, so I can practice on a junk frame.

my early sculpture work was brazing steel shapes, won the county fair blue ribbon. get yourself sometime as an iron worker, welding i-beams 10 15 stories up really expands your welding education
