DCC "Yet Another Year" ride
Jan 2, early afternoonish (around 130pm)? Anyone in for this? Or will the wuss factor be high?
|
Let's do it.
|
Cool. I am pulling another Yojimbo's early morning gig and then need to take care of a thing or two. So 130pm. Meet at the regular starting point on Halsted?
|
Until further notice, I'm working until 3 that day. That might change.
[165] - if you're riding from Yojimbo's to Halsted and Waveland, let me know - I would rather park there and ride up than hunt for parking for however long. |
Jan. 2nd is my birthday. Bring presents, by which I mean whiskey.
|
No Problem

Cool. I'll be there. However, the weather is supposed to suck as of 10:30 pm Tuesday 12/28.

I didn't get through Cryptonomicon. I got bored a third of the way through. Which seems to be the case with me and ol' Stephenson. Same with The Diamond Age though I did finish that - eh. I still like his first book, Snow Crash.
I'm curious at this epic trilogy that he's written though. |
I'm currently about 500 pages into Cryptonomicon and still loving it. At this rate I should have it finished in another week or less.
Anyway, can't make it back to Chicago for the ride. Wish I could, though. :( |

Big U? Never heard of it - what is that/about? Forgot about Zodiac - never read it, but I (mistakenly) thought that was after Snow Crash.

Since you guys are off topic already....
I might be making a trip up to that area in the near future to visit family (Milwaukee and Elgin) but while I'm there I'd like to race or do a ride. Are any of you guys riding the Tour Da Chicago series? I lived in Chicago for a year when I was 9 but I'm not too familiar with the streets (I was only 9) and would like to ride with someone who knows the city. |
Hell, we all know something and I am sure we could all chip in and buy you a beer or share whiskey (or home made Kaluha)
