Personally, I think it's good that all these new triple triangle frames are coming out and devaluing the GTB and Pulse... cuz then I can get one for myself for cheaper.

justfitme was gonna sell me his GTB complete for really cheap, but it was one size too big. The "54cm" GTB's have 56cm top tubes, IIRC. Second time in a row that has happened to me. Womp.

I sold it anyway. But not for that cheap. I was so confused with selling-not-selling, that I decided to raise the price and if nobody will take it, then I will keep it. It was sold next day.

Stupid Starbucks™ putting the indie coffee shops outta business! I have a 60 Pulse that I rarely ride, and I have a Venti iced 5 shot soy latte that I sip on perpetually.
The OP frame looks like a Kagero and a Pulse had a baby.

If you want to make your iPhone analogy applicable to this situation, we would only be able to buy used or NOS iPhone 2G's and nobody else would be allowed to make an all touchscreen smart phone. There's a point when too many intellectual property rights hurts a market. All the iPhone spinoffs have pressured apple to keep innovating and keep their prices down (but only slightly because they're apple
). That argument makes even less sense since the iPhone is still in production - GT isn't getting any more money out of triple tri track frames. The dilution of their market value doesn't matter much to GT now since they don't even offer them anymore.

I had a GTB it was a great looking bike but the ride was meh, kind of harsh & the welds were a bit sloppy for such a coveted bike. From what I gather, the GTB was like the Bianchi Pista (& currently the Mercier Kilo TT )...an entry level bike that a lot of street riders like. I much prefer the ride of my steel Kilo TT, but the GT definitely was a hot looking bike.

I had a guy following me on mine for blocks and blocks last spring, taking photos of the bike. i don't think he was a thief, he seemed a bit off, ly'know? I wanted to call the cops but what the hell can I complain about, some guy riding his bike along the street with me? So, I rode up to a police station, shouldered it and walked in the front door like I belonged there. Doesn't hurt that I look like a cop. Never saw him again but it was eerie.

As far as I'm concerned, I see significant differences in tubing, dropouts, seat clusters, and headtube junctions on all of those bikes. Comparing a bike frame to a sports car (or a smartphone) is mind-blowingly unfair considering the amount of complexity that goes into the design of a modern car.
