Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Are two paint chips worth two weeks waiting for shipping to get a prestine 200 dollar frame? Maybe it just me, but I beat the hell out of my bikes. Rain, snow, mud, sleet, who cares... Scratches/chips from locking up, who cares. Life is short, live it while you can.

I could see if it was your 1953 Paramount that you sent to Waterford for a $1,200 paint job, so it looks nice on your office wall, but if you plan on using the bike it will get chips/scratches... Touch-up paint is like $5, nobody will know unless they inspect it with a fine tooth comb.

When I got my wife's SE and noticed 2 tiny scratches on the front wheel I made a picture right away and emailed nashbar. Right nex morning I received reply to send it back. I used paid postage and in 7 days i got a new wheel.
No worries at all.
If it bothers you then why you did not address it right away?
If it is not, then why go to the forum?

It should not be a problem to exchange the frame.
It should not be a problem to keep it and ride as it is.

It is all about how you feel... If there is any tiny bitter feel then I would exchange...
