support your local framebuilder

In Feb. I crashed my '76 Fuji track:

It was my main commuter. To replace it, I had local framebuilder build me an "in kind replacement", sort of a modern version of my old fuji. It's a mix of some of the parts from the fuji, and some modern parts. So far I'm really enjoying it, it rides very nicely. One nice touch is the old shimano track dropouts were salvaged from the fuji and used on the new frame. I had it painted "molteni" orange, a nod to Eddy.

Well he has only built a few frames so far, so he gave me a pretty good price I think - ~$600, which included the paint applied by Franklin cycles. Part of the good price was the "friend" discount + he wanted to help me out because I lost my beloved fuji!

That's a nice looking bike - congrats!! I think you got a good deal for custom frame with paint. Now you have a one of a kind which just adds to the mojo factor Enjoy the ride!

In case I missed it in the op, what is the frame material?
