If you are covered by car insurance, you should determine whether you are entitled to compensation for an uninsured motorist collision. It's doubtful, since it seems like you weren't injured, and I don't think all car insurances include bike v. car accidents as "motor vehicle" accidents, but check it out - you could get lucky. I was in a hit-and-run collision and I was able to get my medical bills covered plus a modest settlement.

you pay for it one way or another

Glad you're okay. Further proof that we need to take advantage of the technology available to us as a society and allow the monitoring and recording of activities at intersections. The reason most people go screaming about their "privacy" is they want to break the law and see this as free evidence against them.

so you don't mind being monitored 24/7, hmmm?
& anyone who does is probably a criminal, right? wow... "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." |
Oddly, in my city the traffic is mostly better than the suburb/rural as far as incidents is concerned. Probably has to do with the 25mph speed limit within city limits. There are always going to be pricks though. I have had a couple last week that tried to yell me off the road even though I was maintaining 4 ft from the car in front of me while traffic was moving. Cheap camera scores a lot of points in those cases.
