Frame upgrade search - 2013 Specialized Langster Pro

Looking to upgrade to a new frame, eventually build up a new bike. If I go aluminum, I only really want to ride it on the track, and on the paved bike trails around the city. Not much street riding and delivering.

Saw the 2013 Specialized Langster Pro on CityGrounds (https://www.citygrounds.com/specializ...eset-2013-2239) for $600. But I can't find much info on the aluminum it uses and any reviews. All I can find is that is has E5 alloy aero tubing and Specialized A1 Premium Aluminum. But I can't find much info on either of those either.

Other frames I were looking at were Bianchi's Pista, Super Pista, Dodici Gara, Leader 735, Cinelli. But they all use Aluminum 6061 or 7005. Which are pretty standard on 'lower end standard tubing' from what I read. For $800 to consider on a frame, I'd rather have 7075..or so I've been told.

Any words on the langster?

Edit: I couldn't even find what tubing the Leader 735 had.

FWIW - the Dodici Gara frames made in Italy use custom-drawn Dedacciai Fire 7003-AL tubing.

All of Leader's aluminum frames are made of butted 6061.

So not the ones you sell?

"The all-new Gara comes equipped with heat treated, new generation 6061 double butted aluminum tube sets. These tube sets are complimented by double layer, fine-filed tig welds."

Correct. To get the 7003 tubed Dodici's, you gotta go to Dodici.

Click the link I posted. The Dodici frames sold in the US are different frames distributed by Leader.

Woops, didn't notice your link. I'll look into it. Still wanting to know a bit more about the Langster Pro.
