Is this worth the $$

Is this worth the money for my first fixed gear? I want something that's good quality but not to pricy. Is this a good buy or should I wait til the regular TT is available?

ddeadserious 08-31-12 01:11 PM

It's a good bike. If you want to order a bike now, buy that one. If you don't mind waiting and you want to save some money, wait until the regular is available. They're not vastly different.

IthaDan 08-31-12 01:13 PM

Never heard of it.

SJ408 08-31-12 01:22 PM

Ok thanks Ddead, trying to wait just anxious to buy.

SJ408 08-31-12 01:50 PM

What size should I get? I'm 5'10 195lbs? 53 or 55?

ThermionicScott 08-31-12 01:51 PM

Weight isn't a factor in bike fit unless you're really big.

Based on his limited experience with other frames, this 5'8" guy would probably get a 55 or 57.

gaiz i just saw premium rush should i get the 53 or the 57 kilo tt ha?

radiocontrolhea 08-31-12 02:49 PM

did they mention the kilo tt in that movie?

Bat56 08-31-12 03:29 PM

55

SJ408 08-31-12 04:27 PM

I'm 31in inseam, so 50 I guess. Does that sound about right, even of I'm 5'10.

Scrodzilla 08-31-12 04:44 PM

Inseam matters very little when choosing a frame size. Why don't you use the fit calculator from post #7 and be done with the guess work?

himespau 08-31-12 05:00 PM

Edit: Scrod beat me to it.

himespau 08-31-12 08:25 PM

Do you like a very aggressive more aerodynamic position for maximum speed or do you like sitting up a bit more and looking around at traffic and sights?

SJ408 08-31-12 08:29 PM

Go with the French Fit, order the appropriate size and don't worry about it until it comes. Then do the last little adjustments and ride the hell out of it. It's a good looking bike. What color you going with?

SJ408 08-31-12 10:01 PM

Ok no problem! Isn't the point of a forum, for ppl to ask others questions???? Sorry to bother the all knowing bike guru's!!!! Back to your Pilates ladies!!

SJ408 08-31-12 10:07 PM

Thanks himespau, probably black. I like the colors the TT PRO has, the sharks gray and white are clean.
