My drivetrain is louder than a motorcycle

Maybe not quite that loud, but it's annoying. I have an all city crank set, kmc chain, and I'm not sure about the cog. The crankset is 150$, the chain was the best one the store sold, and the cog was around 20 bucks.

Here's the story. I had a cheap lasco crankset on my bike and everything was dead silent. When I switched to the nice all city crankset I started getting a lot of pops and clicks when I pedal. I can not only hear them, but feel them. I went from 48/17 to 46/17 with the same chain (dropped a few links).

I've cleaned the entire dive train tooth by tooth and re-lubed it. It's still loud and clicks. What can I do to stop this?

Do this to drown out the sound of your motor.

Tighten your chainring boots.

Are all of your components the same size, e.g.1/8" chainring, 1/8" chain, 1/8" cog?

First make sure your chain is lubed, has a bit of slack, and has a straight chainline. If the noise persists, then something is worn...most likely your chain. New drive train parts generally don't play nice with heavily worn ones. If 12 links > 12 1/16", your chain is worn and should be replaced. If the noise persists, then replace your cog. Once you solve the problem, continue to replace the chain when 12 links = 12 1/16" and you should get a long life out of your chainring and cog.

This tells us absolutely nothing about the parts you are using.

If you read the next paragraph, I don't think that specific parts matter. I could be wrong, but it sounds to me like a problem associated with worn drive train parts being mixed with new.
