Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Has anyone bought the book, "Messengers Style"?

https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...books&n=507846

Is it worth the money? I figure, its probably a "once over" type book.

my neighbor has it (he's in it). i know a lot of the people in it, so it's hard to be objective.

i'd say it's a coffee table book, so at 10 bucks, go for it. it IS pretty slick.

Yeah it's not a whole lotta reading - mostly photos of the peoples. Cool format tho.

Saw it in B&N...was shocked to see someone I know too!

I flipped through the pages when I came across it in Copenhagen. As previously mentioned, it is a total coffee table book. But you can get it for next to nothing it looks like on Amazon. It had me interested while I flipped through the pages.

I got a discounted copy from the reaminder bin. It's sorta cool. Some neat anecdotes. Nothing that's gonna change your life though.

In related thougths: why do we want things that are going to change our lives? the world?
