Another 12 metric century challenge?

Started the last one late and lost interest/forgot about it after the thread was unstickied, maybe, just perhaps, we could do a new one starting Jan. 1?

Propose that rules are: Do 12 metric centuries over the year, starting Jan. 1. Update after each one (pictures encouraged). No prizes other than a virtual pat on the back from fellow members.

Thoughts? Make it a yearly thing?

Dannihilator 11-19-12 06:15 PM

We will see....

Muffin Man 11-19-12 06:41 PM

I would be down.

Nagrom_ 11-19-12 06:44 PM

I say we should do the 10 imperial century challenge.

Chesha Neko 11-19-12 07:11 PM

In for metric 100.

Oww, my knees.

Tom Stormcrowe 11-19-12 08:12 PM

In point of fact, I intendedfto make it an annual event, with an even dozen winners each year, as well, starting on January. I was going to announce on New Years Day, but I might as well let the cat out of the bag now. Yes, we're going to do it annually.

Dannihilator 11-19-12 08:14 PM

There we go annually.

LesterOfPuppets 11-19-12 08:21 PM

I better start training. I think my longest fixed ride has been 48 miles.

Spoonrobot 11-19-12 08:36 PM

Refresh my memory, could this be done with just a cyclocompter and a timestamped photo? Or do I need a GPS?

Nagrom_ 11-19-12 08:45 PM

No gps needed.

xavier853 11-19-12 08:47 PM

Oh man, going to have to come up with some new routes!

Muffin Man 11-19-12 09:56 PM

So 62 miles is a metric century? And is there a prize now?

thewilson 11-19-12 10:23 PM

I'm down like a clown Charlie Brown.

I'm in too. This is gonna be a piece of cake. Before it started getting cold I was going on 65-70 mile rides every weekend.

Wait, do I have to use my sweet fixie?

No, e-bike is fine.

jimmytango 11-19-12 11:07 PM

I say we up it and go for full centuries or double metrics.

Nagrom_ 11-19-12 11:11 PM

double metrics for two year Ti membership.

that'd be sweet.

jimmytango 11-19-12 11:17 PM

I'd be down.

EpicSchwinn 11-20-12 09:59 AM

Was it JDG who won the Ti last year?

jdgesus 11-20-12 10:24 AM

no, i think it was lueky for 12 in a row?

i think Ti should be 6 200K's or 3 300K's or 2 600K's or 1 1200K

that octopus guy who does the PBP on his IRO should be banned from joining

J Pedals 11-20-12 11:12 AM

He did a nice write up too. Try searching for it. Look for the last metric thread, find him and look at his started threads.

Found him:
