Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? opinions on this frame from Chucks?

https://www.chucksbikes.com/store/indexfr021.htm

I know it's aluminum, but I've had aluminum frames before and liked them. I'm thinking about this frame for an inexpensive around town fixie, nothing fancy just light and functional. Seems like a good deal; would I regret this? Will it fall apart on me? I want a track bike since I allready have a SS road conversion, but would I be better off getting some old steel track frame off ebay or someplace instead?

I would sooner get a steel frame from Spicer. Here

Seems like a good deal to me, and I say there's not a thing wrong with aluminum.

the tsunami looks like a nice stiff frame at a good price. Check your sizing before getting your heart set on it, it would seem he only has 48, 58 and 60 left.

Bikes: 2 fixies, 1 road, 29er in the works.

I've seen an Iro frame in person and it's a quality bike for the price, or even double.
