Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I don't know exactly what I built here, but it wheelies pretty well.

Needs foot retention, but looks good. What's the frame?

Thanks.

It's not fixed, it's got a CB.

It was a matte gray (yuck) garage sale special. I think it's a State.

I think I'd like it better with a gray saddle/pedal combo. It would make the wheels and grips POP even more. Which I really dig BTW. The contrast of the pink and the FAT tires is cool too.

I really like that, looks like it'd be fun. One more thing on here I need to copy someday.

Finally got to try out this disc wheel on one of the local road time trial. Along with a smaller gearing, 46/17 compared to previous 46/15, I was able to shave just over 2min on my previous time. Not fast by any means but getting there.

If anything, I'd probably have gone black on the pedals and saddle, but this was a total parts bin/closeout parts special build on a vintage bike I picked up free... Happened to have the pedals and saddle; pink wheels were on closeout (DEAL!) and I splurged on the grips and new tires.

Desperately needs a Wald basket...

Oh man, you are really on to something there. Black would pull in the headset, bar end plugs, and the bell. Now that I have seen it in my mind, you have to do it. It would be awesome.

It's so easy spending other people's money.

Here's my Enigma. We'll start with a you'll-have-to-use-your-imagination shot:

Better.

Best. Speaking of dreams, it rides like a very pleasant one.

It no longer has mudguards, and those bottle cages have been retired.

I used to feel that way early on, but I forced myself to overcome it. Such feelings are definitely a hindrance to getting good photos. Besides, I consider bikes to be worthy subjects.
