Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I'll be honest - I don't know, why not? Seriously - I don't know much about bars. I just cut them to make them suit my needs.

I'm not going on the track.

I've been buying everything at a local liquidation which ends this week. Every bike and all parts are 50/60% off. Plus - now you can just make offers and they accept most of them just to clear it all out.

In case anyone here is in the Vancouver BC area and hasn't been buying everything they can from this place here's the site - ends this friday - with a final auction of all remaining goods on the 30th,

www.jarvisauctions.ca

Seeing a lot of craigslist ads going up lately - people have just been buying the stuff, building entire bikes and selling them for profit all over the place around here.

IThaDan - I would have given you the Cram frame - but - I traded it for the Helios I have now. (BTW the Cram was much nicer ride than the Helios

a home-build franken pista COLNER

my 2nd bike build and 1st fixed build.
totally franken, why not. thought i'd share, why not.

Colner Vigorelli aluminum pista frame + Colner Carbon fork
Colner branded FSA integrated headset
Campy Record Pista crank + Chorus BB, All City cog / Retrogression lockring. 45 x 14
MKS GR9 pedal + Retrogression straps. (still in finding of clips)
Nitto B123 Chromo drop bar + Salsa stem up-side-down (adjustment in progress, pardon for wacky angle)
Campy Record high-flange pista hubs + Mavic G4 tubular + Continental Competition
FSA aero seatpost + San Marco
+
Campy Chorus front brake + Paul Components E-lever (this is brilliant, btw)

will enjoy 'til i find a good more-classic-looking frame, why not.

When I get a new bike, taking pictures of it is always much more important than riding it.

Thank you. Actually my whole bike is covered in reflective tape. I'll add some pictures when I get back from work tonight.

I have some reflective tape, but have yet to apply it. I'm waiting to really scrub down my bike first and also paint a couple of scraps I got during commuting.

Hopefully, the reflective tape will make commuting at night on a black bike a little easier.
