Don't want to cut it until after I get a pro fitting done. I don't have the money for it right now, though. It doesn't bother me; it has no affect on the performance, from what I can tell.

Would you be allowed to race with that bit of steerer sticking up? I thought they frowned on unnecessary bits you can catch yourself on.

The very reason why I'll leave 10mm of spacers above the stem after the pro fitting determines my optimum stem position. I like being able to have the option of running a higher bar position with risers or some other comfort oriented bars, when not racing.

Thanks. Is that the Langster that we powdercoated? Looks rad.

how did you wrap your risers with the bar tape? I've been looking to do this and haven't come across any instructions or videos.

It's no different you just don't go as far.

@rocferd good call on waiting till you've done the pro fit.
Speaking of stem spacers, I found another 2010 brushed aluminum capo. Sadly the frame is a 58cm, so I'm using the fork from my totaled 60cm:
Rides perfectly, though the NDS crank arm is a solid 2mm closer to the chainstay than the DS. That doesn't seem right, but it's otherwise fine.

C'mon now, it's not that complicated.
Apply double sided sticky tape, spray with windex, slide on grip, wait 5 minutes.
