It's crazy to think that a year ago I hadn't ridden a bike since college and was nervous about starting out with a BD bike...now I have nearly 6,000 miles under my belt and 5 bikes in the garage.

Kilo WT first ride
As you can see no snow, I have the handlebar as far as it would go, probably need to push the saddle up may be an inch. It fitted very well. I set it up singlespeed, fixed gear can wait.
I put the as supplied pedals on to get going, big mistake. The right one semi seized on me after a few miles. I knew I should have junked them. the only thing I can think of is that backed away when I back pedalled and did not tighten up.
I have chain tugs coming, not really needed.
Water Bottle cage to put on.
Phone strap to put on.
Saddle yet to decide. Brooks seems the obvious.
Pedals I have but realistically I want walking friendly type that I do not currently have.

My new Cannondale, mostly done. Trying out these bars and stem I had in the shop. Pretty sure the 8cm stem is too short, hence the lack of tape.

After over 40 years of freewheeling, I decided to try a fixed. Enter the Fyxation Eastside. Nothing too expensive. Just good enough to tell me if this is the direction I want to head.

Good first choice. Now lower your saddle and pull it back a touch. Actually, maybe a foot.

Replaced the OEM Bianchi saddle that was totally torn up with my Tioga Spyder, which is a butt torture rack. Also, geared down to 46 x 17 for street use.

The seat post height was solely determined by me getting my leg almost fully extended at the end of the pedal stroke. Just a quick starting point. Moving the seat back and forth may change that a bit, but I don't expect it to change too much. I'm only 5' 10" tall but have wicked long legs (34" inseam) and a short upper body. It makes it hard to find a bike that fits me perfectly. I opted for the 55cm frame, as my arms might not have been long enough for the 58cm frame and bullhorns. Hopefully, when all is said and done, I won't end up with a giant stack of headset spacers.
Rear breaks are soon to go also. I don't see myself ever running single speed on the Fyxation. I already have plenty of bikes with freewheels.

Joyous day ! The NOS vintage Campy Pista Track pedals I won in an eBay auction two weeks ago finally arrived from the UK. The price was high, but in the end anything else would have been unacceptable to use on my vintage all Campy Paramount P14. It also included a pair of Campy aluminum toe clips and mounting bolts. The leather straps are an inexpensive Italian brand I had in my parts bin. These are the exact same pedals that came with the bike when I bought it in 1976, but I sold the original ones when I switched over to clipless pedals for racing. I am now trying to restore the bike to its original configuration, and the only main part remaining is the seatpost. The original seatpost now resides on my Ron Cooper vintage Campy Nuovo Record road bike.
