It seems a little sketchy but I don't see how it wouldn't work. Using a coaster brake has nothing to to with chain tension.
Regardless, that bike sucks. |

I just don't understand the mish-mash of bull**** here. "Look at my expensive 'pursuit' frameset! No wait, look at how super aero my front wheel is! No, look at my big stupid fender and BMX stem!" |
I'd rather ride this than that Kagero.

This bike is sick but I can't stop laughing at that limp dick saddle hahaha |
Function over form, the opposite of what this thread is about.

Yeah, I'd ride it. In other news, that's the front wheel I just got to replace the Rev-X. Worth every penny I paid, and then some (free).
|
You scored one for free? Nice. I think that's how Dave got his Aerospoke on his old 725.

I know it's geared toward TT but the adamo is the saddle I can't stand as far as physical appearances goes...

^^^We had one of those at a shop I used to work at. I could only ride it in a straight line. Every time I tried initiating a turn it would just tip over. I even tried loosening the kingpin on the truck to no appreciable effect.
The owner was always buying these bizarre bikes on eBay... We once had one of these old Nordictrack bikes that had a metallic band brake on this auxiliary rim and changed gears by enlarging the chainring: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-NordicTrack-Fitness-BIke-Bicycle-Radial-Gear-Comfort-Exercise-19-Blue-/350580657214?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51a03c4c3e At one point we also had a frame that was a rectangular steel beam with many holes drilled in it to place the BB, headset, and seatpost in a number of different spots. I can't find any photos of one. I really wish I had a picture of that crazy bike. |
