Hey buddy, just 'cause you aren't man enough to push big boy gears doesn't mean its jackass.

Just kidding, yes it does.

seau grateau 06-19-13 12:32 PM

I'm man enough, just not OG enough.

Nagrom_ 06-19-13 12:37 PM

We'll never be OG enough.

I want to be a bike god.

You're not very good at this, are you?

Mumonkan 06-19-13 06:08 PM

Weird people out there with funny gearing.
Still looks like a bike that gets ridden-never a jackass thing. In the inverted world of the BFFGSP, pretty, delicate bikes made out of coke cans are celebrated, while the material of Crom that get ridden and cleansed in pavement gets called jackass.
That and cool Hello Kitty bikes.

GMJ 06-19-13 06:37 PM

I think its a dumb bike because it doesn't have a reasonable way of keeping the feet on the pedals for stopping/pedaling. I am still amazed by the group-think mentality hating on a high gear though.

I ride very low gears. 44*16 or 46*17. I'm just following the ideals of the forums and commenting that the bike looks good. Too bad it's not going with the herd mentality, though.
Maybe the rider just likes being nice and steady.

Mumonkan 06-19-13 07:05 PM

90inches doesnt sound very fun unless my entire ride is downhill

FakeFuji 06-19-13 07:13 PM

I rode 48/15 for a while, yeah it's slow to get started buy you can really get going, and hills are manageable but not fun in any way

incorrect

also riding a big gear on your everyday road/street whip just doesn't make sense

Yeah, everyone knows you keep a real steady pace when biking through a major metro area.

sleepy 06-20-13 12:39 AM

Oops. Forgot I was talking to the cast of Premium Rush here.
Spinny's for the winnies.

Tough crowd here.
Seriously, apart from the pedals and the gearing, bike looks pretty sweet. Beauty pageant Simon Cowell's here.

These two things are very related.

No brakes or foot retention on 50GI probably isn't a problem.

Ugh. You know what the actual argument is here, but you're avoiding it. It does look really sweet. It's dirty and ridden. But it's also pretty unsafe (even if that dude never had a problem). And that's what makes it jackass.

This thread is turning into a presidential debate. Instead of actually arguing the thing, we're just saying things tangentially about the thing because the other guy "just doesn't get it".

For real. I gotta wonder what kind of gorilla it takes to effectively skid with 90 gear inches and only one foot, or how long a crank can withstand the stress.

I can't skid on this w/o the straps and it's only 62 gi, but then I'm just a wimpy old man. Maybe if I get an orange chain I can do better ?

Found this joke on Instagram.
Surprisingly NOT from Indonesia despite that awesome saddle position.
