Quick Bike Chain Question :)

I have a KMC Half-Link chain (I know about the premature stressing with halflinks) but I lost my masterpin, do you guys think I can install it without it or will it cause issues. By the way my ratio is 42:16.

A master link works the same as any other link, except that it's easier to install and remove. Push the pin on the end link out enough to fit the other end in, then attach the ends and push it back through. Just don't push the pin all the way out or you'll need all the king's horses to get it back in. All you need is a chain breaker.

you don't need a master link, just a chain breaker.

You'll be fine, I have been running my shadow half link chain shortening it and lengthening it for like 6 months with no problems. In my eyes that whole buy these 2 replacement pins for $5 is a scam.
