i was looking through a look catalog yesterday and it had the carbon fiber track frame in it, the 496 or something like that. anyways, the msrp for the frame and fork was 10,000 bucks!! i guess there's no chance of ever seeing one of those on the street, at least not here in atlanta.

And for the price of one of those frames we could build one of those figure 8 tracks that people were talking about a while ago. tim |

This one apparently gets ridden on the streets. I love those bars! Cervelo P2T
And this Cinelli is downright amazing. |
I was coming out of 220 E. 42nd Street the other day when I spotted a tiny little bike locked up under the construction awning of the Helmsley. It had TWO carbon wheels. I was admiring it when the messenger, a wiry little thugged out dude, came up behind me. "That's cool, right?" he asked. "It's ****ing pretty as hell," I responded. "How do you have the balls to ride it?" He seemed not to hear me. "Those things, they don't make 'em anymore. Worth $500 each." I repeated my question. He said, "Smoke?" And offered me a toke on his joint.

I cry every time I look at this thread.

I cry also that they are not standard frames!

And this Cinelli is downright amazing. Yeah I rode with the guy who owns the cervelo before. I'm pretty sure his name is Lukas (or Lucas), and hes just about as young as me (and even more fiscally irresponsible it would seem). Nice bike, he however managed to get 2 flats during the ride! Doh! |

See, we exist as loyal opposition for one another. We keep each other in check. My style just happens to be cooler.

i ride a lagnster and i like it. i also like the old school bikes too. i am workin on building up an old puegot from the mid 80's. its going to be a pimp nonetheless. regardless, i like anything thats a fixed gear. its all about riding the bike and not so much as what it looks like, even though it doesnt hurt to have a badass lookin bike.

well, it does hurt the wallet. badly.
|
700c is for suckers.
|
I like all bikes...but along with the classics I like seeing the possibilities as well
