a question of aesthetics

i'm ordering a new iro wheelset for my mark v today. so the question is, do i go with black rims or silver. i'm leaning towards black (no black spokes though.)

i'm not going for an all black bike, but i'm liking black rims, though i would keep the seatpost, bars, stem, etc, silver.

any ideas?

Bikes: Too Many

Then go with black rims and hub but leave the spokes silver. It should match the silver parts on your bike.

Black rims are yummy. Though if you're going to have silver components it might look a bit off. What color is your frame?

i like silver, just 'cause it's classic and it goes with everything.

i went with the silver because it's a safer bet to match, and more importantly there was no wait

Bikes: 2 fixies, 1 road, 29er in the works.

I've heard painted spokes break easier.

Bikes: a few

I have black rims and black tyres on my fixie, it's a chrome bianchi, so everything is silver or black and it looks pretty cool.

how much do they charge for black spokes? do you pay like a "building fee"? i'll probably pick up that wheelset in a couple weeks... for now, i'm just anxiously awaiting my mark v pro frame... ooh, ooh...
